So Now You’re A Christian

1- Talk honestly with God.

“Come, let us reason together; though Your sins be as
scarlet, they shall be white as snow.” Isaiah 1:18

2- Love Yahweh with all your heart.

“Hear, O Israel: Yahweh our God is one Yahweh: And
thou shalt loveYahweh, your God, with all your heart,
and with all your soul, and with all your might.”
Deuteronomy 6: 5,6

“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your
arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the
grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which has a
most vehement flame.” Song Of Solomon 8:6

3- Delight yourself in the LORD.

“Delight thyself also in the LORD and He shall give you
the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4

4- Trust in Yahweh above your own understanding.

5- Acknowledge God in all of your ways.

“Trust in Yahweh with all thy heart, and lean not on your
own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways
and He shall direct your path.” Proverbs 3: 5,6

6- Listen for God’s voice daily and obey.

“For he is our God; and we are the people of his
pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today if you will
hear his voice, Harden not your heart, as in the
provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the
wilderness:” Psalm 95: 7,8

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you
shalt go: I will guide you with my eye. Be you not as
the horse, or as the mule, which have no
understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit
and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.”
Psalm 32: 8,9

7- Love those who are next to you.

“You shalt not hate your brother in your heart: you
shalt in any wise rebuke your neighbor, and not suffer
sin upon him. You shalt not avenge, nor bear any
grudge against the children of your people, but you
shalt love your neighbor as thyself: I am the Lord.”
Leviticus 19:17,18

8- Become a servant.

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves.
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Philippians 2: 3-8

9- Do justice.

“Justice, justice shall you pursue, that you may live,
and inherit the land which the Lord your God gives
you.” Deuteronomy 16:20

10- Love mercy.

11- Walk humbly.

“He has showed you, O man, what is good; and
what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly,
and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”
Micah 6:8

12- Love reproof.

“Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate you: rebuke a
wise man, and he will love you.” Proverbs 9:8

13- Be courageous.

“But now thus says the Lord that created you, O
Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I
have redeemed you, I have called you by your name;
you art mine. When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall
not overflow you: when you walk through the fire,
You shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle
upon you. ISAIAH 43:1-3

14- Do not be dismayed

“Fear thou not; for I am with you: be not dismayed;
for I am thy God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help
you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my
righteousness.” ISAIAH 41:10

15- Believe that God will bless you.

“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of
thy country, and from your kindred, and from your
father’s house, unto a land that I will show you:
And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless
You, and make your name great; and you shall be a
blessing:
And I will bless them that bless you, and curse
him that curses you: and in you shall all families of
the earth be blessed.” Genesis 12: 1-3

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he
that comes to God must believe that he is, and that
he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6

16- Make the Word of God the most important thing in
your life.

“And these words, which I command you this day,
shall be in your heart. And you shalt teach them
diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when
you sit in your house, and when you walk by
the way, and when you lie down, and when you
rise up. And you shalt bind them for a sign upon
your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between
your eyes. And you shall write them upon the posts of
Your house, and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6: 6-9

“How sweet are your words unto my taste! yes,
sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through your
precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every
false way. Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a
light unto my path.”
Psalm 119: 103-105

17- Cry out for knowledge and understanding.

“Yes, if you cry after knowledge, and lift up your
voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver,
and search for her as for hid treasures; Then shall
you understand the fear of the Lord, and find the
knowledge of God.” Proverbs 2:3-5

18- Rejoice with thanksgiving.

“But let all those that put their trust in You rejoice: let
them ever shout for joy, because You defend them:
let them also that love Your name be joyful in You for
You, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor will
You compass him as with a shield.” Psalm 5: 11, 12

19 – Give

“9 Honor the Lord with your substance, and with the
firstfruits of all your increase:
10 So shall your barns be filled with plenty, and your
presses shall burst out with new wine.”
Proverbs 3: 9,10

“17 He that has pity upon the poor lends unto the
LORD; and that which he has given will the LORD
pay him again.” Proverbs 19:17

“There is he that scatters, and yet increases; and
there is he that withholds more than he should, but it
tends to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat:
and he that waters shall be watered also himself.”
Proverbs 11: 24,25

20 – Control your tongue and speak life.

“A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his
mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be
filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue:
and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Proverbs 18: 20,21

“Behold also the ships, which though they be so
great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they
turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the
Captain desires.
Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasts
great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire
kindles!

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the
tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole
body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is
set on fire of hell.” James 3: 4-6
